OUR STORY

Ashman Free Press was founded in 2020 as a solution to the lame and boring publishing industry that lacked the will and grit needed for today's consumers and independent authors.

Dan Ashman went down the road less traveled, pursuing and succeeding at high stakes poker, competitive soccer, writing two books, learning several languages, and recently learning to code data analytic models for sports.

He dropped out of college to play soccer in Bolivia where he got some shocking real world experience. Having been raised a Massachusetts socialist, and then living in Bolivia, his political views transformed into their opposite. He realized that the ideology of socialism was a mirage, a lie, a psychology of bitterness, an emotional disorder.

Ashman realized that socialism sucks. Moreover, the radical far left had taken control of the Democrat Party, which had become little more than a front for socialists and Communists. This was dangerous.

INSPIRATION

Ashman had the good fortune to correspond with Elizabeth Childs as she worked to publish the world famous anti-Communist dissident Vladimir Bukovsky. Remarkably, the American publishing industry refused to publish his latest book! So Childs did it herself.

Ashman thought this was great, and shortly thereafter, Ashman Free Press was born; its core idea is to seek out the best authors in their respective field, the ones that need to be heard, the mavericks who The Establishment ignore and suppress, and to publish them!

OUR MISSION

We aim to publish top-quality authors who have provocative ideas which need to be heard. We look for authors who stand on the side of civilization and stand up for their beliefs. Establishment publishers today are “cancelling” and suppressing the work of great writers. It is our pleasure to promote such authors and their great work.
